Bev always wanted to get married on her birthday.
For years, she never thought it would happen. But thanks to the support of the Add staff, she finally got hitched in April 7th to her longtime "honey man", Eddy.
After months of preparation, Bev and Eddy walked down the aisle at the Addvantage Center, which staff had decked out in the pink and white. An Add staff member officiated the wedding. After the kiss they ate cake and danced into the night.
I like helping people, Carol said. I feel sorry for some of these people. They don't have nowhere else to go. And I don't like seeing them sleep out on the streets.
Through the connecting program Carol learned how to help others by serving meals to the men and women at the Columbus Community Kitchen.
